Escape the Ordinary
PPL's 2015 Summer Reading Program for Adults
It wasn’t just the kids who had fun reading their way through the summer at the library. Thanks to those who participated in Escape the Ordinary, the summer reading program for adults.
Overall, 41 readers turned in READO cards, totaling over 500 books read during the program. Participants who completed the program received a mug with the PPL logo. The Saturday afternoon matinees were also a hit with 87 people attended movies in June and July.
And those number are just the beginning. We’re still counting as Escape the Ordinary 2.0 begins...
Escape the Ordinary 2.0
Did your summer go by faster than a speeding bullet? Didn’t quite get your READO card completed? Never fear, Escape the Ordinary 2.0 is here!
Yes, we’ll honor any READO cards that come in after August 1st. You won’t be eligible for a grand prize, but you will receive one of our lovely Pittsburg Public Library mugs.
Stop by the 2nd floor Reference Desk and pick up your reading sheet. Let our friendly staff help you find books to correspond to the categories.
There’s still plenty of summer left which means there’s plenty of reading (2.0) to be done.
