Story Time 2014

After a short break, story time will start again after Labor Day Weekend.
 Kids and families are invited to listen to a story (or two!) and make a craft.

Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.

Fizz Boom Read!
Program for Kids and Young Adults

It’s been another busy and exciting summer at the Pittsburg Public Library
with programs for kids and young adults.

Thanks to everyone who participated!
 
Check out these impressive numbers: 
  • 1,034 kids participated in the Fizz Boom Read Program.
  • 151 young adults participated in the Spark A Reaction Reading Program.
  • 20,194 books were checked out as part of the reading program! (That’s 337 books each day...just for kids and young adults).
  • 934 people attended programs for kids ages seven to eleven.
  • Kids earned 1,532 free swim passes to the Pittsburg Aquatic Center.
  • Kids earned 589 free mini-golf passes to Four Oaks Golf Course. Swim and golf passes are courtesy of the City of Pittsburg and the Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Department. 
  • 5,476 kids (of all ages) came to story time this summer.
 
The staff of the library wishes to thank all the babies, toddlers, kids, young adults, parents, grandparents, and caregivers who participated!

It’s great to see so many enthusiastic readers attend our programs
and check out books during the summer.
