Discussion Groups at Pittsburg Public Library
Monthly Adult Book Discussion
The library’s adult book discussion will be held Tuesday, February 17th at 6:30 p.m. This month’s selection is The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. Copies of the book are available for purchase or check out at the library.
The library hosts a book discussion on the third Tuesday of each month. New participants are always welcome!
Talking Heads Discussion Group
Friday Mornings at 9:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m.
The Talking Heads discussion group will meet on February 6th, 13th, and 20th, with sessions at both 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. The group will not meet on Friday, February 27th.
Using the Great Courses Series from the Teaching Company, participants watch a 30-minute DVD lecture and then open the floor for discussion.
The 9:00 a.m. session topic is Great Ideas of Psychology. The 10:00 a.m. topic is Great Philosophical Debates: Free Will and Determinism.
Participants may attend one or both sessions. Discussion topics change regularly. Visit the PPL’s website for information about upcoming discussion topics.
