PPL Celebrates 20 Years of Book Discussions

The library began holding book discussions in 1994 so to celebrate twenty years of books and lively discussion, the group will hold a special celebration on Tuesday, September 16th.  If you have been a part of the group, whether as a participant or a leader, you’re invited to join an anniversary dinner at 6:00 p.m. (earlier than usual to allow more time for eating!) followed by a brief retrospective on the program during its twenty years of existence. Thanks to everyone who has helped make our book discussion program a success!

Talking Heads Discussion Group

The Talking Heads Discussion Group will resume in the fall. Please check back here for more information.

When in session, The Talking Heads discussion group offers two lectures on Friday mornings. Using The Great Courses Series from The Teaching Company, participants watch a 30-minute DVD lecture and then open the floor for discussion. Participants may attend one or both sessions.

The Talking Heads program is free and open to the public—new people are always welcome to attend.
