Discussion Groups at Pittsburg Public Library



Monthly Adult Book Discussion


The next monthly book discussion is scheduled for Tuesday, January 20th at 6:00 p.m. The book selection is The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. Books are available for purchase or check out at the library.

The library hosts a book discussion on the third Tuesday of each month. New participants are always welcome! 




Talking Heads Discussion Group

Friday Mornings at 9:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m.


The Talking Heads discussion group will meet on the first three Fridays in December.
           
Using the Great Courses Series from the Teaching Company, participants watch a 30-minute DVD lecture and then open the floor for discussion.
 
The Talking Heads will not meet on Friday, December 26th. The discussion group will meet again after the first of the year.

The 9:00 a.m. session topic is The History of World Literature. The 10:00 a.m. topic is American Ideals: Founding a Republic of Virtue. New participants are always welcome.



Dear Reader Online Book Clubs

Join our Email Book Clubs. Every day, Monday through Friday, you will receive in your email a five-minute selection from a chapter of a book. By the end of the week, you'll have read 2-3 chapters. Every Monday we start new books. Click here to sign up and start reading.
