Discussion Groups at Pittsburg Public Library
Adult Book Discussion
This month’s Adult Book Discussion will be held on Tuesday, February 16th at 6:30 p.m. in the PPL Meeting Room.
Participants will give a brief synopsis of the book given to them at the January discussion. If you weren’t there but want to take part, see Carol Ann at the Reference Desk for a book selected specifically for you.
The library hosts a book discussion on the third Tuesday of each month. Books are available for checkout or purchase at the library. New participants are always welcome.
Talking Heads Discussion Group continues on Friday Mornings
The Talking Heads discussion group will meet on Friday mornings in February. Using the Great Courses Series from the Teaching Company, participants watch a 30-minute DVD lecture and then open the floor for discussion.
The 9:00 a.m. session topic is Great Ideas of Psychology. The 10:00 a.m. topic is Great Philosophical Debates: Free Will and Determinism.
Participants may attend one or both sessions. Discussion topics change regularly. Visit the PPL’s website for information about upcoming discussion topics.
